Community Education Classes
This 12-week strength
training program is designed for middle-aged and older women. The program is
based on research focusing on how strength training improves bone density,
reduces falls, improves arthritis symptoms, increases strength and improves
flexibility. These exercises are safe and effective for all ages,
including those who are not in perfect health. The StrongWomen™ Program meets
twice weekly for one hour over the 12-week period.

Cardiac Support Group
These free, monthly meetings offer keynote presentations on a variety of heart-related topics plus discussions and networking opportunities. Bringing a support person is encouraged.

Chronic Lung Disease Support Group
This free support group, led by a respiratory therapist, will provide education on all aspects of lung disease, hone your management skills and improve your quality of life. Smoking cessation support for the entire family is available. Please bring a one-hour supply of oxygen with you if needed.

WomenHeart Support Group
Led by trained patient volunteers, WomenHeart's local support groups meet monthly to provide women living with heart disease critical peer-to-peer support, information and encouragement. WomenHeart has more than 70 community support groups in the country.
